My Heartfelt Words ♥

The only people U need in Ur life are the ones that prove they need you in theirs.

There's mistakes I've made; Chances I've thrown away; Some roads I should've never taken.
There's been signs I didn't see; But it doesn't matter.
When life gets harder it makes me that much stronger; Some pages turned, Some bridges burned
But all lesson learned!

♥ Friday, February 25, 2011
On the 12th February 2011, my family and I attended Dad's childhood friend daughter's wedding.

It was an extraordinary wedding for us. A different kind, at least for me.

For, number one, this is the first time, we travel all the way to Kuala Lumpur just for a marriage ceremony. We went without my other half and Baby Elephant was left behind as well. :(

Uncle Wan is a dear friend of Dad and has requested for our family to be present for his first daughter's function but unfortunately, the husband has got some work that he had to attend to whereas, the sister has got some important school stuffs.

However, on the other hand I was looking forward to travel with just my parents. It's been AGES! So, this trip was a perfect bonding time with my folks together with the other sis, M.J. Make me Feel like a lil girl, all over again. =p

The moment we touched down KL airport, Uncle Wan's driver was already waiting for us, despite giving him the wrong info. Before heading to the palace villa, Dad requested for Mr. Chaffeaur to stop by  Wak Abu's Muscle Gym also situated in Damansara,  for a surprise visit.

Both, Dad & Wak Abu were bodybuilders buddies back in their younger days. As you can see now, they've retired. They were so trimmed back then. Now? OLD liao. =D Will uplaod Dad's photo and show you guys, how fit my Dad was. Even Yus can't beat that. *Evil Grin*

Moving on to our main destination...

The Villa!

SYAZAVILLA

Prior to this day, I  daydreamed that I was being chauffeured in this...

Jaguar YO! ;P

You can wait long long, Raffffffff!

Ready to have a sneak peak of Uncle Wan's & Auntie's Zaimah's villa? But first, I have to say, our camera quality & skill does not do any justice to their villa, unfortunately. HoneyBun, I wish you were there to capture the gorgeous villa!

Notice the Malaysian flag? Well, Uncle Wan is related to Pak Lah, and a M'sian politician himself. I don't think it is necessary for me to elaborate more.

I recalled, the moment myself & Dazzexplosion saw the "mansion"  we were impressed. Previously their house was not this admirable. We  gasped at the sight of nicely decorated spiral staircase. It was a garden fairytale wedding theme.

Simply Exquisite

The Family Of Dato' Wan Mohamad Saleh & Datin Dr. Zaimah.

They have prepared a room for our family, despite turning down their offer, they insist and will not take no as an answer. The minus point of staying up at their place. No privacy as movement is very restricted  and having to stay put at their premises from the starting till the end. Nevertheless, we have prepared ourselves mentally and physically.
Upon arrival, we had lunch together w parents of brides together with a couple of their friends. The group of people consist of Drs, hence, tiptop behaviour mode was ON, at all times. O-0

It was an awkward moment for me.
After lunch, we "inspected" the villa. And the cam-whoring begun. Dad was such a sport too.  Heh.

Their "penthouse" was oh so stunning!

Followed by a MUST power nap.

By 6pm, we were ready. :)

I brushed shoulder w e rich men and tai-tais.

Their wedding reception was almost similar to ours. Only difference was, instead of under the void decks, theirs was in open premises. And the tentage was extended to the main road, which was under Premas's supervision. I wonder how much they paid & how they managed to convince their neighbours for the 1 day road block.
First part of the ceremony, myself and Sis, helped em out to distribute the wedding favours as they were down w some helpers.  Check us out and the early Dato'-es & Datin-es.

Once manpower were full forced, we stopped to fill up our tank. =p

I should say the variety of food are not as much compared to Singapore. Taste was ohkay. Presentation wise, Sg's better.

Here were some of the snippets of photos, taken. Sad to say, we did not manage to pose with the pengantins. Dad went missing. He's busy welcoming e guest, like as tho it was his. =p

I was surprised and amazed by the newly wed's love story. They were actually matchmade by their parents with their approval. This is rare in our era. Irony as it may sound, that was the first time they met, but they get on along pretty well as though they've known one another. Not forgetting the cute awkward moments when they have got to hold hands.

We were truly happy for them.

To dearest Iman & Zayyad, Congratulations from the bottom of our heart. Thanks for having us on ur special day. Insya-Allah, Ur marriage will be blessed with neverending happiness and love.

13/02/2011

The next morning, believe it or not, this family including the pengantins brought us out for breakfast despite sleeping at 4 in the morning.

More up close and personal photos with the family.

BFF : Dato' Wan & Dato' K. =P
Us, one family.
Like a Family

Breakfast was @ Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club.

I was told, it was the best course in Asia. How true, don't ask me. I was never interested in golf.

And oh, btw, yes, I saw alot of Datos who kept glancing and trying their best to catch our attention with their eye contacts. Just like those in Msian dramas. =D

Just too bad, la Datos, Im taken. LOL.

Future Datos & Datins in the making. =p

Not all present. The rest of the girls must be mad tired.

Uncle Wan suggested we tried their roti canai as they were good. It's fluffy and not oily. Loved it. The Curry with a lil bit of sambal was just nice.

Price was of course, high, but still if were to compared with Sg's restaurants/cafe, still cheaper. :)
Mommy & Aunty Zaimah.

She's a very down to earth and humble lady, despite being not only a Datin, but a DR as well. A highly respectable lady, I must admit.
The very smart AmShah and VERY cheeky too. He's a charmer and definitely a player-to be.  Thank U for entertaining us, lil man. =D
Myself w Iman, the bride. Like finally get to catch up with her.
She's a very capable young lady. It's without any doubt, we'll see her in the political line as well. It's just a matter of time. For now, she'll go back to Japan awaiting for her Master degree.
<3 The newly weds, Zayyad & Iman. <3

Selamat Pengantin Baru. And Happy Honeymooning in Japan.

Thank You for your time, despite being very exhausted.

I was touched and honoured by the family very kind gestures and treatment.

We'll see U guys again, insya allah.

From this portion downwards, were our last few remnants of time before we catch our flight @ night.
Say U love me.

At Masjid India.

This pakcik was farnie. He was shocked when he set his eyes on me. He thought I was Ziana Zain leyyyy. LOL
And, despite not being ZZ, he was the one who requested us to take a photo with us. Of course can, PakCik. U have no idea how shameless we are.

Next location was Chinatown.

Daughters & Mommy

Next, we proceed to Petaling Street. The weather was killing us. Whats with our "luggages". It's heavy. o-0
We were there for barely half an hour. Mother managed to get some stuffs for herself.
After which, we hailed for a cab, before heading to The Pavillion.

I feel as tho' Im in L.A. =P

Stopped for lunch.

At the same time racking our brains what else we can do, besides shopping as we were exhausted, or where to head to.

Guess what. I came up with the most brilliant idea.

M.O.V.I.E.

Dad's face lit up.

Perfecto.

We chose...

As it was e only movie parents was interested in, besides Khurafat (but too bad, nexts how time is 7pm).

Here got ghost, it shall be. =D

Check out my parents happy face.
This was their first after twenty over years!!!
And Im glad, we did. =D
Look at Mom! Caught on camera, sleeping! Hahahahaha~!

Movie was not bad. Cracked us up all the time. Time and money well spent. :))

By the time we reached the airport, it was nearly 8pm. Just nice.

Parents did their last minute shopping...

We had dinner @ Chocolate Cafe. The food was bad. But the chocolate drinks were awesome.

Earlier on, I texted both husb & Baby Elephant telling'em that our flight was being cancelled. My wish was somehow granted. Flight delayed for an hour. =.=

Why oh why didn't U informed us earlier. We could have watched Khurafat leyyy. Tsk.

Not a big deal, anyways.

I had a great bonding time with my parents.
